Description

The launcher can't handle the fancy news page. Scrolling it happens at frame rates beyond a few fps.

bambam01 found out that the slow rendering is caused by the 1px background image that is used for opacity (no native opacity support). We increased it to a x64 png (reducing the amount of stacking by 4096) which resolved the issue. If it is still slow on some systems we can increase the size further.
